Kingdom Rush Vengeance: Unlocked and Ready to Take On the Corrupted Forest

As an avid player of the Kingdom Rush series, I've had my fair share of joys and frustrations with each installment. With Kingdom Rush Vengeance, I'm happy to report that it's a game that has left me feeling largely satisfied, despite some minor quibbles here and there.

One area where Kingdom Rush Vengeance falls short is in the range of its corrupted forest enemies. At times, the road feels narrower than the enemy's attack radius, making for a frustrating experience. I'm not asking for much, just a little more breathing room to take down these pesky creatures.

On the hero front, I find that Wicked Sisters' abilities are somewhat underwhelming. The ability to make the frogs disappear after a brief period would be a welcome addition, turning it into an instant kill. Shadow Archers are decent, but their special abilities could use a bit more oomph.

As for towers, Beresad's abilities leave something to be desired, with Murglin being one of the few flying heroes that I wouldn't mind using. The good news is that after unlocking these towers, you can deploy them wherever you see fit.

However, there's one aspect of Kingdom Rush Vengeance that really grinds my gears: the post-campaign levels. While it's understandable that some heroes and towers are locked behind completing certain campaigns, I think it's unfair to limit players' options in this way. The ability to use all available towers on most levels would be a huge boon.

Now, I know what you're thinking – 'But what about the post-campaign levels?' And that's a fair point. These levels are significantly more challenging than those found in the main campaign. However, it feels like a cop-out to restrict players' options when they've already invested so much time and effort into progressing through the game.

In comparison to the other Kingdom Rush games, I think Vengeance falls short in terms of content. While I appreciate the new tower system and the ability to use all unlocked towers, it's not enough to make up for the limited number of levels and heroes available.

Despite these reservations, I've found myself enjoying Kingdom Rush Vengeance more than its predecessors. After 68 hours of playtime, I've managed to beat every level on impossible difficulty – and that's a testament to the game's engaging gameplay and challenging levels.

So, while Kingdom Rush Vengeance may not be perfect, it's still a fun and rewarding experience that's well worth playing. Just be prepared for some frustration with the corrupted forest enemies and limited content options.
